Introduction

A catamaran designed to set sail

OUTREMER 55 LIGHT "NOSY BE" — Year 1999

1999, La Grande Motte. At that time, it was Gérard Danson, the creator of the Outremer brand, who designed each shell of the construction site and created the brand's new models.

It was first the Outremer 40, followed by the 50 Standard, then shortly after the 55 Light and the 45, both long best sellers of the French brand

NOSY BE comes out of our workshops in Outremer 50 Light (15m30), then elongated in 55 (16m10) like almost all Outremer 55 of the time

This modification then exploits the full potential of this drawing, without ever betraying its spirit. It is this generation of boats that has built the reputation of the Outremer yard. Sailors made by sailors for sailors, who have laid the foundations of everything that the yard represents today: a drifting marine catamaran, fast, simple to maneuver, designed to go far and fast with a reduced crew.

NOSY BE is proposed by the used department of the Outremer site. Indeed, we know our boats from having seen them born, from the current to the old generation of Danson

Nosy Be was followed from its first to the second and current owner by the site's brokerage service, the history is complete, its history is known

In addition, the second-hand service also offers all the services that revolve around the site: refit, maintenance, rallies, coaching, resale.

It is indeed this whole Eco system and this community around the Outremer brand that makes that when you buy an Outremer Catamaran, you enter a community of connoisseurs, a family to which you belong. This allows us to support each buyer with the accuracy and transparency that this type of project deserves.

The boat has been monitored seriously over the years, with work carried out on the stations that count: rigging, propulsion, energy on board. Note, moreover, the presence of a generator on board, an equipment that has become quite rare to find on these generations of boats.

NOSY BE is available for sale in the immediate vicinity of the site, European VAT paid, under the French flag

Offered by Grand Large Services, Outremer Yachting's official pre-owned service. An opportunity to join the adventure where it began.

Our commitment

So why should you choose Grand Large Yachting?

Buying or selling a used Outremer catamaran means continuing a story that began at the shipyard. That’s why Outremer Brokerage exists — the service dedicated to the resale of used Outremers, run by the very same teams who have followed our owners since their boat was built. We’re not just another intermediary: we are the shipyard’s official brokers.
This closeness changes everything. We know each boat, its history and its maintenance, often since the day it was delivered. This trusted relationship, built over time with our owners, is our greatest strength — and it benefits sellers and buyers alike.
We believe that a well-sold boat is a well-described boat. Every catamaran offered for sale undergoes a rigorous technical inspection, carried out by teams who know the Outremer inside out — structure, rigging, systems. Buyers and sellers thus have access to reliable, honest information, the foundation of a smooth transaction.
Our team combines in-depth hands-on experience with sharp knowledge of the pre-owned Outremer market, staying in constant contact with the naval architects, production, and after-sales service at the shipyard. No one else has this expertise.
Buying or selling a catamaran is about far more than an online listing. We handle the entire journey — valuation, technical survey, marketing, viewings, negotiation — followed by the full administrative and legal process: sales agreement, VAT, financing. One single point of contact, from the first day to the last.
Every Outremer carries an adventure within it. Our mission is to pass it on to the next owner, so the story goes on — and so the brand keeps moving forward too.
Buying an Outremer is often the project of a lifetime. Our role is to support you with rigor, transparency and passion at every step — from the first viewing to the handover.
